I was on Twitter earlier this morning checking out someone who recently followed me. My first response was “why did this person follow me? I tweet so infrequently and have nothing of value that I contribute”. That got me thinking about this blog and my general recent usage of social media, and how there used to be a time several years ago where I tried to both partake of and contribute to the stream of consciousness that is social media. Yet for the past 1-2 years or so, that hasn’t been the case.
I’m sitting here writing this in a McDonald’s after quite the productive day of language study.
Hi all, my apologies I’m posting this 4 days late. I’ve had a pretty interesting week. I decided to let go of the IT job I started back in October to pursue my language studies as more than a hobby. I want to improve my multilingual abilities while researching and considering ways I can use these abilities for a career.
This past week I didn’t do much language study again. I had my Spanish class last week Monday, which I believe I mentioned in last week’s MLJ update. Apart from that, I mostly used French, Spanish, or Portuguese whenever I could with friends via text, Facebook, Whatsapp, Hangouts, or Skype.
Hi all, I’m afraid I need to postpone this week’s lesson. This week has been a struggle for me, and I haven’t had the time nor ability to write a lesson. I will try and see if I can do it on Saturday. But if not, I will resume with the next lesson next week Thursday.
My apologies that this is a day late.
I didn’t do as much language study as I would’ve liked to last week. The languages I worked on were Albanian, Portuguese, French, and a little bit of Albanian and Japanese.
It’s been a while since I wrote a post. To be honest, I completely forgot about my blog! So I figure it’s time for a quick update about me.
